Fountainhead Exhibit

Project Description:
This project tasked me with locating a local gallery exhibit and develop a design system to span multiple platforms

Project Concept:
I chose to develop a design system highlighting the work of Noelle Phares that was on display at SPACE Gallery in Denver, CO. The system was comprised of an interactive gallery app, a gallery catalog, environmental designs, and a series of vertical banners and posters. My designs were developed to advertise the exhibit, while also providing visitors the ability to appreciate the work after leaving the gallery. On all pieces I displayed the gallery logo, Fountainhead (the exhibit title), and the name of the artist to ensure easy and consistent recognition.

Year of Completion: 2020

Kind of Project: Mobile App UX Design, Catalog Design, Environmental and Wayfinding Design, and Print Poster Design

Discipline: Multi-Disciplinary

poster/banner design

A series of pole banners and posters were designed as a form of environmental and print design to call attention to the exhibit for those to observe while walking or driving by.

Environmental Design

Phares focused her work on natural environments and the symmetry that naturally occurs in the wilderness. I chose to emphasize these elements across the gallery by using simplistic mountain ranges and horizontal lines connecting all of Phares’s pieces.

exhibit catalog

This catalog was crafted for exhibit visitors to take to learn more about both the artist and her pieces. This catalog was designed to replace a simple postcard that was available to visitors as they entered the gallery. This design solution gives visitors access to more information to be referenced at the gallery and any time
after leaving.

The interactive app was designed to be used to follow along with the exhibit and to be visited after having left the exhibit giving the visitor the opportunity to view pieces of work, learn about the artist, and purchase prints and other products offered by the artist.
